The picture to the
left is me with a nine timed lampare shell that I built for
competition at the 2006 PGI convention. It weighed 38 pounds and was 10
inches in diameter. It is designed so after it is fired in the air it breaks
open while traveling upward. It expels 8 small shells and one large shell.
The shells then break successively, finishing with the large one. Rather
than color in each of the shells these contain a liquid fuel that create a
fireball in the sky. I was pleased with its performance and although I
entered the shell more for the fun of it I still placed well in point
standings by the judges.
